Imagine having melodies appear in your mind for as long as you can remember—uninvited, unexplained, yet impossibly vivid. Ideas that feel like gifts. Ideas that refuse to disappear. For one artist, these ideas became the driving force behind a twenty-year journey filled with obstacles, sacrifice, and unstoppable passion.

Growing up in a modest home with a single parent, life was far from simple. Money was scarce, and music was not something anyone in the family had experience with. Between helping his mother raise the household and taking care of his sick father, time and energy were limited. Under these circumstances, owning a musical instrument—let alone receiving musical education—seemed almost impossible.

The First Steps: A Guitar, A Dream, and a Long Road Ahead

After years of saving, he finally managed to buy a decent guitar. But the challenges didn’t end there. Every music school turned him away because of his age. When he eventually found a teacher willing to guide him, fate intervened—his teacher had to leave the country.

Another teacher came, then another setback followed. After a few lessons, he realized the truth many musicians eventually face: the guitar wasn’t his instrument. His real voice was the piano.

So began another marathon of saving money, searching for teachers, and learning through any method possible—formal lessons, self-study, and countless hours of practice squeezed between school and part-time jobs.

And step by step, note by note, he learned to play.

The Band That Never Came

With the instrument mastered, it was time to form a band. But musicians require arrangements, structure, and theory. Without formal training, he struggled to provide the kind of direction bands needed.

So he turned to music software. At first, the results felt lifeless—music without the soul of a real instrument. But after years of trial and error, one spark changed everything: using software to create MIDI templates. A friend stepped in, helping with the technical side, giving the project hope again.

But when the templates were shared with bands and musicians, rejection followed rejection. The quality wasn’t enough. Many didn’t take him seriously.

After twenty years of effort, patience ran out. And in his own words, he reached his breaking point:

“Fu*k you all, I’ll find another way.”

A New Path: Music Without Borders

That “other way” arrived online through a platform called Fiverr, where musicians collaborate across countries and cultures. By then, he already had a name he once intended for his band—Sen, which in Slovak means Dream.

This time, the dream finally began to take shape.

Money became a difficult choice—music or food. But after two decades of silence, hearing real instruments play his melodies brought a spark that made every sacrifice easier. Working with artists from over 20 countries, he realized something profound:

Music has no borders. No prejudice. No barriers.
It is welcomed everywhere.

As the project evolved, the original name took on a new meaning, becoming an acronym understood in multiple languages:

  • Spev, Energia, Novinka (Slovak)

  • Singing, Energy, Novelty (English)

  • Singen, Energie, Neuheit (German)

  • Synge, Energi, Nyhet (Norwegian)

Whether by fate or design, it fit perfectly.

Finding the Voice: The Final Piece

Instrumentals were finally complete, but no one at home wanted to sing the lyrics he wrote. This time, rejection didn’t hurt—it just redirected him once again to the global stage.

Online, he found vocalists who connected with his lyrics, each bringing their own interpretation. Because every contribution deserved recognition, he often kept multiple versions of songs, honoring every artist’s effort and soul.

A Project Built for the Heart, Not for Fame

Although he poured his entire heart—and finances—into the project, he never aimed to become a famous musician. The music was something he felt he had to release, like fulfilling a responsibility to these persistent ideas that came to him uninvited.

His true passion lies in the earth itself—forestry, woodworking, and gardening. These crafts shaped him just as much as music did, grounding him during the hardest moments of life. In his words:

“In my part of the world, craftsmanship is gold.
And these songs are my craft.”

Every musician, engineer, and collaborator is credited because every craft deserves recognition. He always refers to the project as “we,” honoring the help of his friend who handled the technical side—even though nearly all creative direction and funding came from him alone. Standing in the shadows suits him better. Fame holds no appeal.
