Like many years of the past, Drake is looking to make the summer his once again. The 6 God is set to return on May 15 with his highly anticipated Iceman album.
Even nearly two decades in and after all of the accolades, it feels like the stakes are raised more than usual for Drizzy. Iceman appears to be another pivotal point in Drake’s decorated career, with the album being his first solo move since clashing with Kendrick Lamar in 2024’s blockbuster battle.

While he teamed up with Partynextdoor for $ome $exy $ongs 4 U in 2025, Iceman will be the first solo release from Drake since 2023’s For all the Dogs, which topped the Billboard 200.
Drake’s taken a unique approach to the Iceman rollout. No singles arrived in ’26, but he’s delivered plenty of stunts that have generated chatter and hype leading into the LP.
He placed a mammoth ice block structure in Toronto’s downtown, which drew hundreds of fans as well as police and fire presence. He’s sent fiery explosions into the air that are reportedly from a music video and turned his courtside Toronto Raptors seats to frozen icicles.
Streamer Kishka ultimately discovered the folder inside the ice installation, which contained a magazine revealing the May 15 release date for Iceman. Drake followed up with a post on IG confirming the release date, which has compiled over three million likes.
When Iceman does ultimately arrive next month, Drake will pass Jay-Z and tie Taylor Swift for the most Billboard 200 No. 1 albums of all time for a solo artist with his 15th chart-topper.
Bundle up, it’s Drizzy season again. Here’s everything we know so far about Iceman below.
