From the sounds of his childhood home to stages across Nigeria and the UK, Kaziboii has been on a journey defined by rhythm, passion, and authenticity. Growing up, music was always playing in his house, thanks to his mother’s deep love for melodies. Inspired from a young age, he even collected Michael Jackson’s lyric notes, studying them to understand the magic behind the music.
Kaziboii’s personal journey into music began in high school, writing his own lyrics and experimenting with beats while forming a small band. His first studio experience came in 2018 with the recording of “Carolina,” a moment that confirmed music was his true calling. Following that, he began performing at local shows and carnivals, gradually honing his stage presence.
In 2020, Kaziboii met Mc Concept (Oga Boss) at a beer carnival, where his live performance earned him a spot in Oga Boss’s crew. At this time, he performed under the name Kazola. By 2021, he officially rebranded to Kaziboii and moved to the United Kingdom to study Music Production and Performance at the University of Chester. This period allowed him to record on his own and collaborate with artists internationally, further refining his sound.
That same year, his single “Kolobi” was nominated at the South East Artists Recording Academy, winning the Best Afrobeat Artist Award (2021) — a milestone that validated his hard work and growing influence in the Afrobeat scene.
Kaziboii’s music blends Afrobeats, Afro Drill, and Afro Hip-Hop, with a focus on danceable rhythms and love songs. “For me, Kaziboii is about turning my experiences into sound and connecting with people through real emotions,” he explains. Whether it’s a high-energy track or a heartfelt love song, his goal is to make listeners move, feel, and connect.
Currently, he’s working on two international collaborations: “Too Late” featuring Qx The Great and “Sideways” featuring Faceless. These projects highlight his versatility and ambition to reach audiences beyond Nigeria, while staying true to his Afrobeat roots.
