Interview with Andrew Famous

First of all, congratulations on the release of my melody. How does it feel now that the album is finally out?

Thank you. It feels emotional, honestly. This album was created during a very intense and transformative time in my life. A lot of personal experiences, difficult moments, and spiritual growth went into these songs. Releasing it feels like finally sharing a part of my journey with the world.

Your single “breeze” received worldwide radio rotation. Did that success change your mindset while finishing the album?

Definitely. Seeing people connect with “breeze” on such a global level gave me confidence to trust my sound even more. The track came from a very honest place emotionally, so the reaction reminded me that people can really feel authenticity in music. It motivated me to stay true to the vision of the album instead of trying to follow trends.

my melody blends Afro House, melodic electronic music, and classical influences. How did that sound develop?

I never wanted to limit myself to one genre. I grew up listening to many different styles of music, and I think all of those influences naturally came together on this project. Afro House brings rhythm and energy, melodic techno creates atmosphere and emotion, and classical music adds timeless depth. Combining those worlds felt very natural to me creatively.

One of the standout tracks is “Izwi-Labokhokho.” What inspired that song?

That track is deeply spiritual. The energy behind it comes from themes of ancestry, connection, and inner guidance. I wanted the rhythm to feel powerful and hypnotic, almost like entering another state of mind while listening to it. It’s probably one of the most spiritual tracks on the album.

You also reimagined “Swan Lake” in your own style. Why did you want to reinterpret such a famous classical piece?

Classical music has always inspired me emotionally. Swan Lake already carries so much beauty and emotion, so I wanted to reinterpret it through a modern electronic lens while still respecting the original feeling. I like the idea of connecting older musical traditions with contemporary sounds.

The album feels very personal. Was music a way to process difficult experiences?

Yes, absolutely. Music became therapy for me during this period. Some of these tracks were created during moments where I felt completely lost or emotionally exhausted. Producing helped me process everything internally. That’s why the album has both darker emotional moments and uplifting moments. It reflects real transformation.

There’s also a strong dancefloor energy throughout the project. Was balancing emotion and club energy important to you?

Very important. I love music that can move people emotionally but also physically. You can dance to these tracks, but there’s also a deeper emotional layer underneath them. That balance was one of the main goals for the album.

You’re also preparing an exclusive continuous live mix experience for YouTube. What can listeners expect from that?

I wanted to create something more immersive than just individual tracks. The live mix connects the album into one continuous journey with visuals and atmosphere. It’s designed to let listeners fully enter the world of my melody from beginning to end.

Looking back at this chapter of your life, what does my melody represent to you personally?

Transformation. That’s the biggest word for me. This album represents surviving difficult moments, finding strength again, and evolving both personally and artistically. It’s probably the most honest project I’ve ever created.

Finally, what do you hope listeners take away from my melody?

I hope people feel something real when they listen to it. Whether it gives them energy, emotion, peace, motivation, or simply helps them escape for a moment — that’s enough for me. I want the music to connect with people on a human level.
