1. You’ve been making waves since signing with Big Condo Records. How did that partnership come about, and what has the journey been like so far?

The partnership came when I messaged them in January last year about playing at one of their gigs in the Wirral in the coming march, which I did and smashed, since then they’ve kept offering me gigs and I’ve kept delivering so I kept coming back, then eventually when I applied to become a roster artist luckily for me they took a chance on me.

2. Country music is known for its storytelling. What personal experiences have most shaped your songwriting?

A lot of different factors and experiences have pretty much made my songs, as I put all of me into every lyric, one showing if this is growing up, I grew up in a pretty rough estate in Liverpool, we got tormented about 5 days a week (we got weekends off if we were lucky) all of this was just because we were different….so growing up holding all of this weight with me is how I got to know about myself, it’s how I put my passion and pain into words, because it just goes right

3. Can you tell us the story behind your latest single and what inspired it?

my upcoming single “I Won’t Miss You” is about, my ex-girlfriend used to mentally abuse me, tried to torment me and my brother, after getting away from that situation and rebuilding myself I had to write a song for everyone to know that there is a way out of all of that and that little to none of it was real.

4. Who were your biggest musical influences growing up, and how have they impacted your sound today?

My brother’s Sam and Ben were my biggest influences growing up, I wanted to be a drummer like Sam, growing up around the early 2000’s music scene was invaluable to my yearning for becoming a musician, it’s why I jumped at the chance to have him playing the drums on my upcoming track, Ben really is the reason I play guitar, I always wanted to play guitar like him and now I do, I’d love to Collab with him some day, although him and my brother are metalheads we can make a alternative music.

5. What’s your creative process like when you’re writing or recording a new track?

When I’m writing honestly I just mess around on the guitar, playing through some of my favourite chord progressions doing them over and over in different patterns, changing the key and that, then I stick the voice recorder app on and just have a laugh singing anything that comes to my mind that goes with the tune, then try something that rhymes with that, look around the room and pick that to put that in the song, then I listen back to the recordings, write the main hook of the song down and polish off some lyrics, it’s not very conventional but it works for me

6. The country scene has evolved a lot in recent years. How do you balance staying true to your roots while embracing modern sounds?

Honestly, as I just play guitar and sing, barring the odd Collab, I don’t do anything else, so I’ve not really had a chance to get into any of the modern sound, but it’s something I’d be happily willing to do if the opportunity arises.

7. Touring is a huge part of a country artist’s life. What’s been your most memorable performance so far?

The best performance I’ve ever done was in the Kazimier Stockroom on February 9th, it was a nuts performance, my fans said it was a show stealing performance (granted they are biased) but my most memorable performance has to be when I played in Leicester last year, the crowd was crazy, couple hundred people in there just loving it, the stuff of dreams.

8. How has your life changed since joining Big Condo Records, both personally and professionally?

Personally I’m a lot more confident, I’m not sure why, I’ve achieved something I never dreamt imaginable, that might have something to do with it, but professional it’s been wild, so many performances, had some of the best times, did a Collab with Emilie Culshaw who is also signed to the label which was amazing, such a great experience getting to perform alongside such top acts.

9. What message or feeling do you hope fans walk away with after hearing your music?

A feeling of hope and love….hope that they can get out of any bad situation they’re in now and they can rebuild, even if they’re at the lowest low, the only way is up so just keep building and growing every small step is still progress, I want everyone to know they’re never alone too, there’s always someone out there who wants to help.

10. Looking ahead, what can fans expect from you next—any albums, collaborations, or surprises on the horizon?

I’ve got a couple of songs written and a few ideas for a good couple of Collabs. I’d love nothing more than to do an album. As for surprises, well… I guess we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled.
